WHERE IS YOUR CONFIDENCE?

It's easy and perhaps natural to warm up to the people around us and end up placing our confidence and trust in them.

Sadly though, half the time these very people can turn around and desert us in our time of need. It's good to have family and friends whom you can trust and confide in, however most of the time, due to our sinful nature, we often let each other down. Maybe you are crying foul because the spouse that you trusted with everything you have betrayed your trust. That workmate that you confided in about your marital problems heralded your top secret to everyone at tea time.

Listen, people can let you down anytime anywhere! But if you put your confidence in God, you will not be let down. "It is better to put your trust in the LORD than to put your confidence in man" Psalm 118:8

God is always there, yesterday, today and forever, and he is unchanging. His steadfast love is renewed every morning.. It is therefore wise and secure to trust in him. Riches come and go. People change and people come and go. If you put your confidence in earthly things, you will be let down.
