WHEN GOD SEEMS QUIET
Have you ever prayed so hard for something and it seemed as if nothing was moving? It feels hopeless and painful - doesn't it just?
Not every prayer request we make will be answered in the manner in which we prescribe. Sometimes we will keep on praying hard and earnestly, and the answers that we expect or desire may not come automatically. You might have been praying for a sick beloved one, but in the midst of all your prayers, he did not recover but died. You might have been praying for a rebellious child to come to Christ, but the child seems to be getting wilder and wilder by the day. Does that mean God is not listening?
Listen, God cares for you and he listens to all your prayers. He has an answer for all your prayers, but his answers are not as we prescribe. , and he answers us in his own ways. There is no problem that you face which God has not equipped you to handle. "God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it" (1 Cor 10:13).
So even when he seems quiet, just know that he has plans for your life. He will take you through whatever you are going through right now. He will work with that rebellious child that you are now feeling hopeless about. He is the one who hold life in his hands. If you pray for a sick beloved one and they die, it doesn't mean that God doesn't answer prayer. It means that God has plans that you may not readily understand, but in the bigger picture you will understand why God works that way.
God has a plan for your life. You are top priority on his agenda!
