Be Sincere!

How can you tell between a genuine product and a fake? A fake product will not prove the test of time!

It can be tempting and appear easy to pretend to be who you are not. You may manage to deceive one or more people and seemingly get away with it. The world is full of con artists who can lie with a straight face and cheat you out of your finances. Sadly enough, we also have the emotional con artists who can play down your emotions and make you believe that they are with you, when they are not. Maybe you have been conned and it really hurt; or you are a con artist yourself - listen, deception no matter how skillful it maybe done will not stand the test of time. Think of a fake gold necklace - regular exposure to heat, moisture and cold will automatically cause it to rust.

Therefore, deception can not last for long. Deception is not just for con artists, but it includes all those times that you have committed yourself to do something that you knew beforehand that you were not going to do! If you do not mean it then don't say it. If you are not going to do it, then don't volunteer. "Be sincere until the day of Jesus Christ" Phil 1:10

So go ahead and ask God to help you become more and more sincere in your daily dealings. The more genuine you are, the more you reflect the image of God to a fallen world!
