What good can come out of this?

The best way to handle problems in life is to look beyond your problems and ask God "What can I learn from this painful experience?"

We all have our share of problems. How can we have a perfect life when we live in a fallen world. Your spouse will disappoint you one way or the other. Tragedies and misfortunes can fall upon your business and leave you bankrupt. Your beloved child can committ suicide and the pain of that loss can drain you for years. The question should not be "Why me?"; that will only lead to self pity. Rather ask "What is God teaching me through this experience?"

Indeed for each and every experience that we undergo in our lives, God will be establishing something in our lives. Instead of crying about an unfaithful spouse, think of the greater lesson that you can learn from that. Sometimes when you have lost everything, you can't afford to lose the lesson too!

God wants you to mature, develop character and then use you to minister to others. The very experiences that you have hated most and regretted the most can be used by God to prepare you for ministry. So stop crying about the divorce, the failed profession; God wants you to reach out to others who are suffering too. Now that you know the pain of being widowed, you will have the right words to encourage someone in a similar predicament.

God does not only use good experiences to establish his will in your life. Sometimes his way may be painful , yet "All things work together for good for those who are in the Lord.." Romans 8:28 .

In all your problems, God has not forsaken you, he is actually getting closer to you! Instead of cursing God for forsaking you, thank him today for sanctifying you!
