Carry each other's burdens

Sometimes we may become so swallowed up in our own problems that we forget to be there for others.

So many things happen in our lives that leave us feeling lost, defeated and cast down. If we are not careful, it's easy to end up feeling low all day long. When we are feeling low it's inevitable to shut others out. Are you feeling low today? You don't want anyone near you; you just want to dwell in your own pit of misery uninterrupted? Yes, we all have our low moments, but the Bible encourages us to bear one another's burdens.(Galatians 6;2)

When was the last time you gave a listening ear to a friend in need? Or maybe a child came to you wanting to share a problem and you quickly changed the subject. We all need each other; a problem shared is half solved. You can become so busy with your own ambitions that you don't pause to lend a listening ear to a troubled neighbor. Maybe your own prayer list has become so long that you can not add a few more pertitions for your beloved ones who need your prayers right now. Do you know that you can touch so many lives just by being there for others when they need you?

Put aside everything else and be there for someone who needs you today.
