Finishing better than you started

Have you ever done athletics? If you have you will probably know that it is very important to finish better than you started.

You can set off in high speed, but if you fail to maintain that speed, someone else can overtake you. This means that if you want to remain in the lead you must aim to increase speed. Life is like that sometimes. When we get started on our career pursuits we may be full of zeal, but wear off along the way. Many businesses suffer because the founders fail to maintain their standards. We live in a world full of competition, if you slur, someone else gets the crown.

Are you losing the passion that you once had about your life, your career, your marriage, or your commitment to Jesus Christ? The Bible encourages us to stay in the race, no matter what happens. Remember, our success depends on how we finish.

To get the crown, we have to finish better than we started.
