"Be strong and of Good Courage"

So many of us suffer the predicament of fear; fear of failure, fear of starting new things, new relationships, new jobs, changing jobs, moving house and so many others.

For many, the uncertainty of what lies ahead makes them anxious. Few manage to overcome this and thus remain in the shadow of the past.

Similarly, Joshua was faced with the same issues. Moses was handing over the reins of authority to his protege, Joshua. Sensing the fear and anxiety that gripped the young man, Moses thus spoke:
"And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the LORD hath sworn unto their
fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it. And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed."
Deuteronomy 31.7-8
